Meet the Executive Team

Dr. Amel "Doc Lo" Logan, LPC

President

Peace!

My name is Doc Lo.  I am licensed as a professional counselor within Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.  I have worked as a licensed professional counselor for 30 years and provided mental health treatment to an array of people experiencing various mental health disorders.  While completing my doctoral studies, my area of research focused on African American men and their relationship with mental health. The research highlighted the fact that African American men's relationship to mental health services (proper diagnoses, engaging in therapy services, and cultural appropriate mental health therapy) remains at a crisis level. Due to this emergent need, I have vowed to dedicate my professional and personal life to the following:

  • raise awareness of how unaddressed mental health needs negatively impacts the lives of African American men

  • ensure that these men receive appropriate diagnoses that include all facets and experiences of their lives and that the mental health treatment they receive is culturally and person specific

  • work to increase the utilization of mental health services among African American men.

Baggers for Mental Health is the vehicle that allows me to accomplish these goals.

    Hellllooo!

I am Reg, the proud owner of CR Copeland Real Estate, a residential brokerage located in Fairfax, Virginia.  I've been in the real estate industry for 26 years and have enjoyed volunteering and giving back to the industry and community. I am an instructor, trainer, and mentor and enjoy imparting knowledge with others. In 2022, I served as the President of Northern Virginia Association of Realtors, the largest real estate association in the state of Virginia. That same year, I was named to the Hall of Fame for the Virginia Association of Realtors, an accomplishment I am extremely proud of.

I have been an avid motorcycle rider for 40+ years. I started by riding dirt bikes and 3-wheelers before graduating to street bikes. I developed a love of riding while enjoying nature and the beauty found in the open air. Most importantly, I nurtured the value of road trips and a bonus is being able to ride with friends. I believe the getaways have been a tremendous help with my own well-being, which has driven my awareness and passion for mental health. BFMH is the avenue allowing me to do my part to help those that may not otherwise have the ability or resources for help.
